Ryan Reynolds’ $587M Comedy With 2 Other Marvel Actors To Hit Hulu Soon

Next month, an animated film with Ryan Reynolds will be available on Hulu, allowing more people to watch it. The movie, which also features two other actors from Marvel films, received generally good reviews when it came out and did well in theaters, leading to sequels and other related projects.

The Croods will stream on Hulu next month

Starting April 1st, you’ll be able to watch The Croods on Hulu, including the Spanish-dubbed version. The animated film, featuring the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Nicolas Cage, and Emma Stone, first debuted at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2013 and was released in theaters a month later.

The film was a major success, earning $587 million worldwide on a budget of $135 to $175 million. It also launched a whole franchise, including the sequel The Croods: A New Age ($215 million gross on a $65 million budget), two TV series – Dawn of the Croods and The Croods: Family Tree – and video games like The Croods: Prehistoric Party! and the original The Croods game from 2013.

Critics generally liked The Croods, giving it a 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences scored it even higher at 77%. Metacritic paints a slightly different picture, with a Metascore of 55 indicating mixed reviews, though users still gave it a positive score of 7.1.

The Croods is a funny story set in a make-believe prehistoric world. It’s about a cave family whose dad, Grug, is very protective and doesn’t like them venturing outside to explore. But their safe life gets turned upside down when an earthquake destroys their home and everything around it.

While searching for a new place to live, the family journeys through treacherous terrain and meets Guy, a resourceful and inventive teenager who lives in a cave. His forward-thinking ideas often conflict with Grug’s traditional beliefs, and the friction between them increases as the family begins to accept Guy’s influence. Things become even more complicated when Grug’s daughter, Eep, falls in love with him.

Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco not only directed the movie, but they also wrote the story and screenplay alongside John Cleese. The voice cast includes Nicholas Cage, Emma Stone, and Ryan Reynolds, as well as Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman, Clark Duke, Chris Sanders, and Randy Thom.
