Absolutely, I’ve had some people ask about it. Mike is a huge Anime and Manga fan, which is great, but I’m more into American comic books and graphic novels myself. Actually, a lot of the storyboard artists I work with are also comic book fans. One of them, Louis Gonzales, mentioned someone had asked him if there was a comic book influence in his work while looking at his storyboards. So it’s definitely something that’s come up before.

The film Sinners is gaining momentum, not just with its recent chart success, but also through potential awards recognition.
