I’m really excited – Russell Crowe just dropped the first poster for his new movie! It’s a project he’s working on with Derrick Borte, who directed Unhinged back in 2020. I loved that movie, so I’m definitely looking forward to this one!
Russell Crowe recently shared a vibrant poster on X, showcasing his character in a gold tracksuit, meditating with a pistol nearby. He hinted that the movie, Bear Country, features both a compelling story and a talented cast. Crowe then revealed a bit about his character: he plays Manco Kapak, an Albanian nightclub owner who immigrates and launders money for a drug cartel. You can see the new poster below.
Crowe shared a catchy tagline for the film: “Mystery, mayhem, murder… and meditation.” While we haven’t seen a trailer yet, the new poster suggests this role will be quite different from his work in Unhinged.
The 2020 thriller Unhinged stars Russell Crowe as a frightening and unpredictable driver who becomes obsessed with a young woman after a simple road rage encounter. While the film earned $44.3 million globally, it didn’t achieve huge box office success, partly due to being released during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, critics appreciated its unique idea and Crowe’s chilling performance.
In Bear Country, Russell Crowe returns as the main character, but this time with a humorous edge. His character, a nightclub owner named Manco, is presented as a bit of a quirky and unconventional figure – he’s often seen in a tracksuit, looks a little messy, and enjoys meditating. The movie’s bright pink title also hints that it won’t be a heavy or overly dramatic film.
