Russell Brand Facing 2 More Charges of Rape & Sexual Assault

Russell Brand, the actor and comedian, is facing even more legal trouble. He’s now been accused of two additional crimes, including one instance of rape.

I’m reporting that the situation surrounding the actor known for Forgetting Sarah Marshall has become even more serious. The Metropolitan Police just confirmed he’s facing additional accusations from two more women, piling onto the already existing charges. To recap, he’s now been charged with two counts of rape, one instance of indecent assault, and two separate counts of sexual assault. It’s a deeply troubling development, and we’ll continue to follow this story as it unfolds.

Prosecutors have authorized police to add charges of rape and sexual assault, involving two more women, to the existing case.

A new rape allegation has surfaced from a woman claiming the assault occurred between February 7th and March 1st, 2009. A separate case of sexual assault, involving a different woman, allegedly happened between August 31st and December 1st, 2009.

Russell Brand will be in court on January 20, 2026, to address the new charges against him, which he denies. The trial is scheduled to begin six months later, on June 16th. Brand has previously stated he is innocent of all five charges and welcomes the opportunity to defend himself in court, expressing gratitude for the chance to do so.

Police in London are continuing to support the women who have come forward with reports, including those related to the latest charges. The investigation is still active, and detectives are asking anyone affected by this situation, or who has relevant information, to contact them.
