‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ Trailer Teaser Released

The sequel to the hit horror film, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, is bringing back Samara Weaving as Grace. Joining her are new cast members Elijah Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and David Cronenberg. A short teaser trailer has just been released, promising a full trailer tomorrow with our first look at the new actors. Check out the teaser below, and keep an eye out for the complete trailer this week. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come hits theaters on April 10, 2026.

The first Ready or Not movie followed Grace as she spent her wedding night with her new in-laws, who participated in a seemingly harmless game. It quickly became clear, however, that the game was actually a dangerous ritual connected to a deal with a demon – a deadly game of hide and seek that guaranteed the family wealth. Grace made it through the night, but the terrifying experience clearly still haunts her.

The cast also includes Kathryn Newton, Kevin Durand, Shawn Hatosy, and Néstor Carbonell. The original 2019 film launched the careers of directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who went on to direct the recent Scream and Scream VI movies. They returned to direct this new sequel as well.

Just earlier this week, Weaving teased what audiences could expect from the sequel to PEOPLE:

The writers found a clever way to bring the story back that felt both inevitable and unexpected. I was initially worried about remembering everything from the first installment, but as soon as I put the costume on, the character instantly came back to life. The whole fitting was surprisingly emotional for all of us. While revisiting the character was great, the real joy came from working with the same team again.

Although critics loved the first film, it didn’t do well in theaters when it came out in August. It later gained a dedicated fanbase on home video, largely because of Hugo Weaving’s performance and the movie’s clever mix of funny and scary moments.

Samara Weaving had appeared in films like Mayhem and The Babysitter before, but Ready or Not really established her as a star in the horror genre. This led to roles in movies such as Scream VI, Azrael, and Borderline.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come lands in theaters on April 10, 2026.
