A new season of the Prime Video series Reacher is being put together, and one of the actors originally cast had to be replaced.
Development on a fifth season of the Alan Ritchson-led series was announced in May 2026, just ahead of its showing at San Diego Comic-Con, where both season 4 and the upcoming spinoff Neagley finally revealed their trailers. Ritchson, who told ScreenRant in mid-July that filming was kicking off, and Prime Video also confirmed in the SDCC 2026 panel that the new season would be adapting Lee Child’s 2015 novel Make Me, the twentieth installment in his Jack Reacher book series.
On the heels of filming getting underway for the upcoming chapter of the show, Deadline reports that Reacher season 5 has added four new series regulars to its cast. Those include FUBAR‘s Jay Baruchel, Abigail‘s Kevin Durand, Cross‘ Amanda Ip and Voicemails for Isabelle‘s Ciara Bravo. Baruchel’s casting comes as an interesting decision as he was previously set to be in the season 4 roster, though was recast with Christopher Marquette after departing due to a personal matter.
