Even its first season received a fantastic 98% rating, which is impressive for a new show.

With each new season, Invincible keeps getting better. After the way season 4 ended, only people who’ve read the comic books will know what happens next. While it doesn’t have quite the same biting satire as The Boys, Invincible is still genuinely funny and just as violent, giving both shows a similar dark tone that makes people compare them.

The upcoming series, Spider-Noir, is generating excitement because it presents a fresh and unique take on the Spider-Man story. This live-action thriller focuses on Ben Reilly, also known as Spider-Noir, as he confronts his own inner demons and faces off against twisted versions of classic Spider-Man villains. The story is set in the gritty atmosphere of 1930s New York.

I’m really excited for the new superhero show, especially since they’re doing something different – it’s coming out in both black and white and color! Nicolas Cage already proved he can absolutely crush this character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, so I’m incredibly curious about Spider-Noir. It’s going to be something, that’s for sure – potentially amazing, or maybe a bit of a mess, but definitely memorable.

Both shows seem like good choices for fans of The Boys, but Vought Rising is particularly interesting because it’s set in the same universe. This show, described as a 1950s murder mystery, will feature Soldier Boy and Stormfront, two of the main villains from The Boys.

Honestly, getting to know the backstory of Vought and Compound V is already making me so excited for this spin-off. Plus, The Boys season 5 has been hinting at it for a while now, which tells me they’ve got big plans for the show set in 2027. It just feels like the perfect continuation of that world, and a really fitting replacement for The Boys when it eventually wraps up.

Other The Boys Replacements Are Likely On The Way

Prime Video doesn’t need to worry about The Boys ending, as they have several other shows in the works, and more are coming. For example, The Boys: Mexico was announced late last year and is still being made, even though updates have been limited.

As a fan of The Boys, I’m not surprised we’re getting another spin-off – and honestly, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of them. With Gen V unfortunately cancelled, creator Eric Kripke has hinted that we might see some of those characters pop up in other corners of the Vought Cinematic Universe. It’s clear this franchise still has a lot of story to tell, and they’re determined to tell it.

As long as superheroes exist and The Boys continues to have compelling characters, there’s always potential for more stories. Even if this leads to endless sequels and spin-offs – potentially undermining the show’s own critical take on the genre – it’s difficult to imagine the franchise ending while it remains successful.

With Vought Rising possibly being the first spin-off after The Boys concludes, we can expect to see several more related shows appear on Prime Video in the future.
