Power Rangers Reboot Leaks Key Production Details, Hints at Release Date

The next installment isn’t as far off as you might think. In fact, it could be coming very soon, and we’re not just talking about the long-awaited reboot fans have been hoping for – this time, things are different.

The biggest question remains: when will it be released? The creators of Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians – a show worth watching that features Dafne Keen (known as X23 from Marvel) and wrestler Edge – haven’t announced a date yet. However, a recent look at the production timeline suggests it might arrive in 2027, possibly even earlier, though that’s just an educated guess.

A user on X (formerly Twitter), @Jinsakuu, shared some interesting information indicating that filming is about to begin. It seems Hasbro and Disney are planning a major promotional push for Power Rangers throughout 2026, building up to a release on Disney+.

Disney has worked with Power Rangers before, but this new involvement is quite different, and fans are having a lot of complicated feelings about it.

This is the first time in the history of Power Rangers that a season isn’t directly connected to what came before, and it’s a big gamble. It could be incredibly successful, or a complete failure – there’s not much middle ground. This approach does allow the new creative team, Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz, to build their Power Rangers from the ground up, without being tied down by existing designs or storylines. While this gives them complete creative freedom, it also means they face enormous pressure to create something truly special.

With the popular series Percy Jackson and the Olympians already having two successful seasons, fans are hopeful that Steinberg and Shotz will deliver a fantastic Power Rangers adaptation. While we wait, you can revisit the comic books and collect action figures to pass the time!
