Pokémon Pinball Makes A Comeback To Celebrate 30th Anniversary

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, and celebrations are already in the works! We know several collaborations are planned for 2026, and the latest announcement is particularly interesting. It involves a beloved Pokémon spin-off game making a comeback, though perhaps not in the way some fans anticipated.

Stern, a leading pinball manufacturer, is releasing a special Pokémon-themed pinball machine this year. It’s a great way to revisit the classic Pokémon Pinball games originally released on Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. You can find all the details and see a trailer showcasing the new machine on the Stern website.

The Return Of Pokémon Pinball

Stern’s new Pokémon pinball machine prominently features Pikachu, Meowth, and Charizard, but also includes Furfrou, meaning it draws Pokémon from beyond the original 150. Set to launch in 2026 – perfectly timed with the Pokémon franchise’s 30th anniversary – this collaboration is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to see more details.

I was really hoping the 30th anniversary would bring back something like Pokémon Pinball, and I’m so stoked to see Stern actually making a real pinball machine! Stern’s stuff is always top-notch – I especially loved their Uncanny X-Men machine. I’m super excited to see what the Pokémon one looks like, and honestly, my money’s on it being all about the original Kanto region Pokémon.

Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary Is Truly Blessed Now

Okay, so I’ve been following the Pokémon Pinball machine news, and let me tell you, they’re gorgeous… but pricey! Stern is making three versions: the Pro for $6,999, the Premium for $9,699, and a super limited, Limited Edition for $12,999. The Limited Edition is really limited – only 750 are being made worldwide! Honestly, unless a local arcade or bar gets one, you’re looking at a serious investment if you want to own one of these. I’m hoping someone nearby will get one so I can at least try it out!

The price is about average for a pinball machine, and they generally hold their value well. Given how popular Pokémon is, I think these will probably sell fast and their price could go up quickly, but that’s just my guess.

Pokémon Pinball is considered one of the greatest spin-off games ever made, and I’m really looking forward to the new pinball machine Stern is creating. It’s fantastic to see so much support for the 30th Anniversary of Pokémon, and we’re expecting a complete reveal of the machine soon.
