The highly anticipated Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, a film continuing the popular series, is finally getting a first look with a new teaser trailer. Fans have been eager to see Cillian Murphy return as Tommy Shelby since the show concluded in 2022. The teaser introduces both new faces and familiar characters. Excitingly, the film won’t be a streaming-only release; it will premiere in theaters on March 6, 2026, and then become available on Netflix on March 20, 2026.
Netflix describes the upcoming movie:
It’s 1940 in Birmingham, and things are falling apart with the war raging. Our leader, Tommy Shelby, has come back from hiding, and it feels like everything’s about to come crashing down around us. It’s not just about the family anymore; it’s about the whole country. Tommy’s battling his own inner struggles, and it’s like he has to decide if he’ll rise to the challenge and embrace who he is, or just destroy everything he’s built. By order of the Peaky Blinders, we’re bracing for the fallout…
The movie’s cast includes Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Jay Lycurgo, and Barry Keoghan.
‘Peaky Blinders’ Will Return in Full Force

BBC
Created by Steven Knight, the series first aired on BBC Two in 2013. A year later, Netflix acquired the rights, helping it become popular not just in the UK, but around the world. Throughout its six seasons, the show received widespread praise from critics and won numerous awards.
Cillian Murphy had already established himself as a talented actor before landing the role of Tommy Shelby, but many believe Peaky Blinders was the performance that truly defined his career. Now, having won an Oscar for Oppenheimer since the show ended, Murphy recently reflected on revisiting the character. He told Empire Magazine that returning to the role felt similar to how he originally said goodbye to Tommy, leaving Birmingham behind in the series finale.
I really appreciated the mysterious way the character simply rode off, leaving his fate unknown, yet hinting at a return to his roots within the Romani community. The fact that he reappears during World War II creates a compelling and sophisticated connection between different parts of his life – it’s a beautiful way to structure the story.
Set against the backdrop of World War II, the upcoming season of Peaky Blinders promises a particularly intense conflict. In an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, creator Knight hinted the struggles faced by the Shelby family could be even more brutal than the war itself, describing it as a fierce and unrestrained chapter in the show’s story, with the Peaky Blinders fully engaged in a dangerous fight.
