Peacock’s Record-Breaking Thriller All Her Fault: A 10/10 Masterpiece

I was so excited when All Her Fault came to Peacock at the end of 2025, and it totally lived up to the hype! Honestly, with Sarah Snook (from Succession) and Jake Lacy (The White Lotus) leading the cast, I knew it was going to be good, and it was a huge hit for the platform – everyone was talking about it!

With so many thriller shows available, it’s easy for a new one to get lost in the crowd. Especially with competition like Netflix’s The Beast in Me, which came out just a week before Peacock’s All Her Fault. But All Her Fault wasn’t just popular – it actually set a new record for Peacock.

What Is All Her Fault About?

The eight-episode series All Her Fault follows Marissa Irvine (Sarah Snook), a privileged mother whose world is turned upside down when she goes to collect her son, Milo, from a playdate. She arrives at the given address only to discover the homeowner doesn’t recognize either her or Milo.

Immediately after, a desperate and chaotic search begins for Milo and those who took him. Joining Sarah are her husband, Peter (Jake Lacy), who seems almost too perfect, her business partner Colin Dobbs (Jay Ellis), who has a hidden past, and Peter’s siblings, Lia (Abby Elliott) and Brian (Daniel Monks). Lia and Brian both rely on Sarah’s brother for financial support.

As Detective Alcaras (played by Michael Peña) continues his investigation, the surprising secrets of the case start to come out. Meanwhile, Marissa becomes closer to another mom, Jenny Kaminski (Dakota Fanning), whose nanny may be connected to the disappearance of Milo.

Similar to other great thriller series, “All Her Fault” on Peacock keeps you guessing – you’ll constantly question who the true villain is and who is most at risk. While the show uses common thriller elements, it also offers something unique, which has led to record viewership for Peacock.

All Her Fault Is The Most-Watched Peacock Original Show Ever

Peacock has some great original shows, but it hasn’t become as popular as other streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and HBO Max. Because of this, many good shows on Peacock don’t get the attention they deserve – but the series All Her Fault was a clear exception.

Peacock’s original series All Her Fault had a remarkably successful launch, becoming the platform’s most popular original series ever with 46 million hours viewed in its first three weeks. Nielsen ratings also showed the series consistently ranked among the top 5 streaming originals during that period.

Some have suggested that releasing All Her Fault episodes weekly, instead of all at once, might have been a better strategy. However, the show’s success proves Peacock made the right choice. With its captivating story and high quality, All Her Fault is a clear win for the streaming service.

Why All Her Fault Is A 10/10 Thriller Masterpiece

Unlike some thrillers that build suspense slowly, All Her Fault jumps right into the story. The film opens with Marissa discovering her son isn’t where she expected, and from that moment on, each new piece of information completely changes what you think you understand about the characters.

I love a good thriller with unexpected turns, and this series really delivers, but in a way I haven’t seen before. The reveals about where Milo was and who took him are so unique – it doesn’t follow the usual thriller tropes. Honestly, his disappearance isn’t even the most shocking thing that happens, especially with that incredible ending in All Her Fault. It totally blew me away!

“All Her Fault” explores more than just a disappearance; it powerfully highlights the unfair and harsh standards society holds mothers to, particularly in contrast to fathers. This sharp observation likely connected with the show’s large audience, with women between 35 and 64 making up 64% of its viewers.

Although All Her Fault was popular, the way the first season ended makes another season unlikely. However, it’s always possible! Many shows that started as single seasons have been renewed due to their success – Big Little Lies and The White Lotus are good examples. Even if All Her Fault doesn’t get a second season, Peacock already knows there’s an audience interested in more.
