Hulu’s post-apocalyptic, political drama is coming back with a bang.
A new trailer for season 2 of Paradise shows the aftermath of the nuclear war depicted in the first season. The new season will explore the world beyond the bunker, as Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) searches for his wife, hoping she survived the apocalypse.
Hulu has just released the official trailer for season 2 of Paradise, giving fans a glimpse of what’s next for Xavier. The trailer starts by reminding viewers that Xavier left the safety of the bunker after discovering his wife may still be alive. Soon after, a plane crash leaves him stranded, but he finds an unlikely ally in another survivor who offers to help.
Inside the shelter, things are getting tense as people start fighting for power. The show, Paradise, follows two main stories: the struggle for control within the bunker and an external threat trying to get in. We’ll also see glimpses into the past, showing what life was like before the nuclear disaster. Watch the trailer below for a sneak peek!
The new trailer suggests a lot of action will follow the events of Paradise season one. The show recently revealed the truth about Cal Bradford’s murder, showing that Trent was the one who killed him. Afterwards, Xavier was prompted to use clues left by Bradford to locate his wife, Teri, who was living above ground.
Sinatra is working to maintain her authority over the bunker, but increasingly defiant groups are emerging. Following the events of last season, people are suspicious of each other, and the new season will delve deeper into the bunker’s true purpose and history, revealing more about its origins.
Similar to its first season, Paradise season 2 will release new episodes every week on Hulu. The show will gradually reveal the secrets of the bunker as Xavier continues his search for Teri, likely building towards a dramatic showdown with other survivors in a post-apocalyptic America.
With Paradise returning next month, we’ll soon learn more about the story teased in the trailer. While many questions remain, the trailer makes it clear that season 2 will be much more action-filled and broad in scope compared to the first season.
Paradise season 2 begins with a three-episode premiere on Monday, February 23 on Hulu.
