The story takes place in the year 2563. Dr. Dyson Ido discovers the body of a female cyborg, which has a human brain. He reconstructs her, giving her the name Alita. When she awakens, she has no memories of who she was before and must learn to navigate this new world. As she does, she begins to remember fragments of her past, revealing that she was once a highly skilled and dangerous warrior known as a Berserker.
Derek Kolstad, known for his work on John Wick and Nobody, is the lead writer and creator of this show. Ubisoft Film & Television is producing it, with animation handled by FOST Studio.
