It’s all just speculation right now, but it’s definitely got me excited!

As Halloween gets closer, I’ve been checking out what everyone’s streaming, and it’s no surprise horror is dominating the charts! Over on Hulu, they’ve got a bunch of Scream and Twilight movies in their top ten, along with the 2018 Halloween reboot. They even have something a little lighter for the family, like Hotel Transylvania, which is great.

Okay, so last year Marvel did this huge crossover event that I was totally hooked on! It was written by Jed MacKay, and the art by Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia was amazing – Cory Petit did the lettering. Basically, it was a vampire invasion of Earth, but it wasn’t your typical vampire story. They had Varnae, the first vampire, take over Blade using this Darkforce energy, and he basically conquered the planet! It was pretty intense – a lot of people died, and they turned a bunch of heroes and villains into vampires. It was a wild ride!

While it’s technically not based on a video game—it’s a movie about one—their enthusiasm is understandable. Putting aside minor details, Ready Player One stands alongside similar films like Tron and Wreck-It Ralph, which are also frequently cited as top movies centered around gaming.

Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, the stars of the Back to the Future trilogy, recently told Empire magazine that the films resonate even more strongly with audiences today than they did in the 1980s. Lloyd noted he’s consistently amazed by the lasting impact the time-travel movies had on young viewers, saying it’s something people still talk about frequently.

Someone asked me if they were starting work on the sequel this year, and honestly, I was as surprised as anyone! I asked around, but apparently no one knows anything for sure. It’s all a big mystery! As far as I know, they haven’t even started filming yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. I really don’t have any inside information, I wish I did!

I’m so excited! One of my favorite movies, Ryan Coogler’s amazing vampire thriller, is coming back to the big screen! It was fantastic when it streamed on HBO Max in July, but seeing it in IMAX will be incredible. It’s playing in select theaters from October 30th to November 5th, and I already have my tickets!
