Ever since Zach Cregger’s film Weapons came out this summer, and the announcement of a prequel, movie fans have been debating how much we really understand about Aunt Gladys, the movie’s villain. Some worry a prequel focusing on her backstory could make her less frightening, while others believe she’s the only major character whose perspective hasn’t been shown, and that she deserves to have her story told.

A great horror movie often starts with a scene that’s either incredibly frightening or subtly unsettling, hinting at the terror to come. These opening moments can be the most lasting part of the film, and when they become truly iconic, it’s something special.

Created by Tony Gilroy, a co-writer of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Andor is a gripping and politically charged thriller that expands the Star Wars universe. The show follows Diego Luna as Cassian Andor in the years before the events of the original 1977 film. Bill Skarsgård plays Luthen Rael, a rebel intelligence officer who brings Cassian into the fight against the Empire.

Throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Hulk has repeatedly tried to help, but often ends up causing more problems. The season finale surprised viewers by revealing that Codron is still alive. He’s apparently traveled a long distance, all the way from France to the Spanish coast. We last saw him at the end of Daryl Dixon season 2, where he attacked Daryl after bat guano in the Chunnel caused him to become enraged over his brother’s death. It appears he’s now recovered from whatever affected him.

As reported by Deadline, the new series Boston Blue has quickly gained international traction, selling to over 100 markets after just one episode. Broadcasters like AXN Asia, Coupang Play (Korea), M-Net (Africa), Sky (New Zealand and Germany), Play Media (Belgium), Cosmote TV (Greece), Síminn (Iceland), and beIN (Cyprus and Turkey) are among those who have purchased the rights to air the show outside of the U.S.

According to Gizmodo, the movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps will start streaming on Disney+ on November 5th. It became available to purchase digitally in late September. Similar to other big Disney+ releases, First Steps will be shown in IMAX Enhanced, meaning everyone can watch it with an expanded screen size, staying true to how the filmmakers envisioned it. Those with compatible TVs and sound systems will also be able to enjoy enhanced sound quality using DTS:X.

The Netflix show Jessica Jones was a gritty detective story starring Krysten Ritter as an alcoholic investigator. It fit well with the Daredevil series, sharing the same setting but exploring different ideas. However, when Disney bought Fox, these shows—known for their complicated characters and mature themes—were canceled. Netflix essentially ended its Marvel universe, and it’s only recently that these characters have started to reappear in the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Daredevil‘s return has been well-received, bringing Jessica Jones back to live action is more complicated for Netflix, as they need to balance fan expectations with their own streaming strategy.
