The latest episode of South Park‘s 28th season will premiere on Friday, October 31st at 10pm Eastern and Pacific time on Comedy Central – a change from its usual Wednesday release. Just a week after it premiered on Netflix in February, Running Point was picked up for a second season. They started filming in August, but we don’t have a release date for the new season yet.
Ahead of its second season, Landman has announced some exciting news. In addition to changes for Tommy and Cami, Western star Sam Elliott is joining the cast. TV shows sometimes change genres for different reasons. Sometimes the story naturally evolves in a new direction, while other times a show has to change to stay on the air. Occasionally, a show simply loses its focus. While not all genre changes are failures, some have been clearly unsuccessful and didn’t need to happen.
