Chris Pratt stars as Chris Draven, a detective in a futuristic Los Angeles overrun by crime. Here, trials are held before cold, efficient AI judges. Draven finds himself accused of murder and strapped into the ‘Mercy Chair’ – it’s not what you think! – with just 90 minutes to convince AI Judge Maddox (Rebecca Ferguson) of his innocence, or face immediate execution. While the story isn’t particularly original, it’s designed to move quickly, as Draven frantically uses a lot of advanced, fast-paced technology to try and prove he’s innocent.

Ponies is a new spy thriller on Peacock starring Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as two secretaries in Moscow. After their husbands die unexpectedly, they’re unexpectedly recruited as CIA agents. Although it just came out on January 15th, people are already discussing a second season, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. The show has quickly become a hit, breaking a viewership record in just a few weeks.

One of the earliest reviews of the show, penned by David Opie of Digital Spy, was quite critical. He pointed out that the most compelling parts of Steal felt more like a difficult family story than a thrilling crime caper, and ultimately predicted the show wouldn’t be worth viewers’ time.

Following the release The Snyder Cut, some fans began campaigning for Warner Bros. to restore the SnyderVerse, including his two planned Justice League sequels. There’s been no indication this is happening (especially since the new DCU was formed), but his latest post on Instagram has fans holding out hope for him to helm an upcoming DC movie about Gotham’s Protector. Okay, so the trailer immediately throws you back to my childhood with footage from the original He-Man cartoon – seriously, instant nostalgia! Then, we finally get our first look at Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, and it’s cool to see him transform with the Sword of Greyskull. They also introduce Teela (Camila Mendes) and Man-at-Arms (Idris Elba), and it’s clear they’re all gearing up for another battle against Skeletor, who’s being played by Jared Leto this time around. It’s setting up a big defense of Eternia, and I’m already hooked!

The legal case was initially set to start in March 2026, but could have been avoided if both sides reached an agreement. The start date was then moved to May 2026, and it doesn’t appear either side is willing to compromise. After Blake Lively tried to keep the files private, Judge Lewis Jeffrey Liman – brother of director Doug Liman – has now decided to make those documents public.

Before James Gunn and Peter Safran rebooted the DC Universe and cast Milly Alcock (from House of the Dragon) as Supergirl, actress America Ferrera made history as the first Latina to play the character, signing a deal for multiple films. Even though those plans are now on hold, she recently told Entertainment Weekly she’s “so grateful” for the opportunity.

A central theme of the new CNN documentary, I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not, is the complex and often difficult story of Chevy Chase’s career. While the film doesn’t shy away from his past struggles, it also suggests there’s a deeper understanding to be had. In a recent interview with People magazine, the beloved comedian chose to highlight what’s most important to him today – particularly his 43-year marriage to Jayni Chase – rather than focusing on his professional achievements. He told the magazine:

As a huge cinema fan, I was thrilled to read that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is coming back to theaters! Apparently, from August 27th to September 3rd, it’ll be shown in a bunch of countries, and they’re adding 10 minutes of brand-new behind-the-scenes footage that we’ve never seen on the big screen before. Plus, Warner Bros. is promising some surprises during the screenings, which they’ll announce later this year. They even released a new poster to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary – it’s really exciting!
