As a huge fan of Darren Aronofsky – I love films like Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, and even the challenging Mother! – I was really excited for his latest movie, an action thriller with a fantastic cast including Austin Butler, Zoë Kravitz, Matt Smith, and Bad Bunny. It’s a shame, though, because despite all that talent, it didn’t do very well at the box office. It cost around $40 million to make, but only brought in a little over $31.1 million, meaning it actually lost money.

Taylor Sheridan’s success began with the Yellowstone series, but he’s since created several other popular crime dramas. His latest, Landman, released in November 2024, quickly became a hit. Following positive news from a co-creator, Sam Elliott, a new cast member, shared his excitement about the show’s future, saying everyone involved is already eager to get started on Season 3.

Given how popular The X-Files was – and still is, with a dedicated fanbase and lasting impact on science fiction and thriller genres – it’s obvious the show was a major achievement for Vince Gilligan. However, he recently shared that one specific thing often bothered him because it sometimes hindered the storytelling.

It took over three years to release the sequel to the first game, and since then, the story and world have been expanded with numerous updates instead of requiring players to buy a new game. Although Destiny 2 originally cost money to play, it’s now free, with new content available for purchase. However, the game’s player base has shrunk significantly, which has created challenges for the developers.

A new eight-episode series centers around an author haunted by her past who develops a strong interest in the person next door. Created by Gabe Rotter and Howard Gordon, known for The X-Files, the show stars Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys. Danes recently told People that stepping away from playing the complex character of Aggie was challenging, and described the show’s atmosphere as reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock.

Details about Season 2 of The White Lotus are scarce, but viewers are eager for its release after the shocking ending of the first season. I’m especially excited to see more of Esmeralda, the unforgettable character played by Emmy nominee Sabrina Impacciatore. And if I could write one thing into the new season, it would be a meeting between Esmeralda and Ava Coleman from Abbott Elementary – it would be amazing!
