Nathan Fillion, the actor known for playing Captain Mal Reynolds, announced on March 15, 2026, that Firefly is returning with many of the original cast members. Morena Baccarin, who played Inara Serra, is among those returning for the new Firefly project. While fans of science fiction are thrilled about this news, Baccarin considers her best sci-fi work to be the 2209 remake of V.
The new thriller stars Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara as three lifelong friends whose relationship is shaken by a shocking murder. As the investigation progresses, old secrets, betrayals, and hidden grudges emerge, revealing that their seemingly ideal lives and friendship were much more complex than anyone knew.
As a huge fan of The Boys, I recently read that Eric Kripke, the show’s creator, has a pretty strict rule about the show’s world-building. Apparently, from the very beginning, he’s made a point of completely avoiding any mention of Marvel or DC comics – no Easter eggs, no nods, nothing. It’s interesting to know how deliberate that choice was, and it’s definitely shaped the show’s unique identity as we head into the final season.
Warner Bros. revealed a new documentary called Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic on April 2nd. It will premiere on HBO on April 5th and features exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone film. Netflix has released the first trailer for Swapped, marking Jordan’s first film since winning an Oscar. While Jordan is known for live-action roles – including his Oscar-winning performance in the vampire film Sinners – he’s now starring in the family-friendly comedy Swapped for Netflix.
But there’s another fantasy series on HBO that handles its adaptation well: His Dark Materials, which aired from 2019 to 2022 over three seasons. It’s a thoughtful and careful adaptation of Philip Pullman’s books, and many already consider it a classic, even though it hasn’t reached the same level of popularity as Harry Potter.
