Lee Child is an executive producer for the TV show Reacher, which first aired in 2022 and is available on Amazon Prime. Each season of the show is based on a different one of his Jack Reacher novels. Unlike many authors who are critical of adaptations of their work, Child actually approves of the Prime Video series. Reflecting on his book series and its various adaptations – including both the TV show and a movie – he recently explained to People why he’s happy with how Reacher turned out.

Ke Huy Quan first became known for playing Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Interestingly, his recent roles seem to playfully nod to Indiana Jones’ biggest fear – snakes. He played Ouroboros, a character named after a serpent image, in Loki, and voices a pit viper named Gary Da’Snake in Zootopia 2. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, starring as Elphaba and Glinda, have become a fantastic pair, both in the movie Wicked: For Good and during its promotion. Their incredible performances have drawn huge crowds to theaters. However, like all good things, the film’s theatrical run will eventually end, and it will become available for streaming. For many, streaming is the perfect way to enjoy a movie – especially one you can sing along with!

Although positive audience response can sometimes improve a movie’s chances at the Oscars, it doesn’t guarantee success. The strong performance of Wicked: For Good with viewers actually points to the challenges it will probably encounter when competing for awards at the 98th Academy Awards.
