Wow, things are really heating up in One Piece! Ever since the Egghead Arc kicked off, it feels like we’re sprinting towards the finish line of this incredible story. While we still have a few years left, it’s so clear that Eiichiro Oda is finally diving into the biggest secrets of the Grand Line. Right now, he’s tackling the mystery of the God Valley Incident and what happened with Rocks D. Xebec – it’s going to be huge!
Chapter 1165 of One Piece, called “Reverberations,” shows the intense battle between the Rocks Pirates, Gol D. Roger, and Monkey D. Garp. This chapter reveals more about this legendary fight and hints that Roger and Garp may have discovered a way to defeat the World Government in the final arc of the series.
Garp and Roger Use Immense Conqueror’s Haki to Defeat Rocks D. Xebec’s Domi Reversi Transformation

In his prime, Rocks D. Xebec was considered one of the most powerful pirates in the world of One Piece, a reputation earned through battles with famous pirates like King Harald and Figarland Garling. But after Imu transformed him, Rocks became an even greater danger, threatening the entire Grand Line. This was clear from his ability to fight equally with legendary figures like Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Kaido, Big Mom, Monkey D. Garp, and Gol D. Roger, one after another.
Wow, chapter 1165 really hit hard! Now that Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom are gone, it’s become clear that Garp and Roger were the ones tasked with stopping Rocks D. Xebec from becoming Imu’s ultimate weapon. Honestly, even though we got hints of this fight way back in the Wano Arc, seeing Garp and Roger go up against the full force of Rocks is just incredible. It’s frustrating though, because like everyone else who’s faced Imu’s top guys, they just can’t seem to actually hurt Rocks, no matter what they do.
Instead of being defeated by Rocks’ powerful and adaptable Domi Reversi ability, Roger proposes that he and Garp combine all their Conqueror’s Haki to try and break through the transformation. Together, they launch a devastating attack, concluding Chapter 1165 with one of the most spectacular offensive showings in the entire One Piece series.
I’m watching the fight between Roger, Garp, and Rocks D. Xebec, and it’s still unclear if their combined attack will actually defeat him. However, it definitely looked like they landed some serious blows. If that’s true, this could be the turning point of the God Valley Incident, and it might even give the One Piece crew a crucial advantage in the biggest fight they’ve ever faced.
Rocks’ Defeat Holds the Key to Overcoming Imu & the Celestial Dragons
The God Valley Incident was a huge event during Gol D. Roger’s time, but the current conflict in the Elbaph Arc is equally important for today’s pirates. Now that Imu has revealed themself to the Straw Hat Pirates in the Land of Giants, Luffy and his crew are in a similar situation to Roger and Garp when they fought against the Rocks Pirates.
Imu is leading an attack on Elbaph with a large force of enhanced soldiers and Holy Knights, all of whom share Imu and the Five Elders’ incredible invulnerability. The Straw Hat Pirates’ main challenge now is finding a way to bypass this defense, but it appears Garp and Roger may have already shown them how.
The Straw Hat Pirates have several powerful crew members who can use Haki, especially Luffy and Zoro with their strong Conqueror’s Haki. Recent events in One Piece Chapter 1165, specifically Roger and Garp’s success, suggest the Straw Hats have what it takes to counter Imu’s most effective ability so far. They might still need to get stronger to survive their journey from Elbaph, but they have the potential to overcome the challenge.
Luffy’s journey to become Pirate King is facing its biggest challenges yet. With a massive army attacking Elbaph, and the powerful Imu revealing more and more abilities, the stakes are incredibly high in One Piece. However, there’s still hope. Even as the world’s ruler threatens Elbaph, Luffy and his crew are gearing up to do what they always do: fight through any obstacle to achieve their freedom.
