Filmmakers behind “Avengers: Doomsday” are getting fans ready for Marvel’s grandest Multiverse crossover event, which will assemble the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Wakandans, the New Avengers, and additional characters hailing from diverse Earths.

At Destination D23 on August 30, 2025, TopMob was present as Disney and Marvel Studios unveiled a teaser trailer and behind-the-scenes footage for Avengers: Doomsday. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who were filming the movie in London at the time, addressed fans via video message. However, Paul Rudd, brimming with excitement, interrupted them to emphasize the massive scale of the production and hint at the star-studded lineup that was briefly displayed in a teaser video played during the event.

The teaser featured a fast-paced sequence that combined clips from the live-streamed cast chair unveiling of Avengers: Doomsday, as well as scenes and dialogues highlighting the confirmed characters and actors from their roles in earlier Marvel films.

The sequence reaches a climax with Shuri’s powerful call of “Yibambe!” which invokes the spirit of Wakanda and unites the team in a visually stunning spectacle that celebrates past victories and prepares for future battles.

Instead of serving primarily as a plot revelation, the compact narrative functioned more as a refresher, hinting that Marvel is bringing together an enormous, multi-generational squad, which the Russo brothers referred to as their most ambitious project to date.

At a previously recorded event, the Russos addressed fans about the production happening in London and the film’s lofty goals, only for Ant-Man himself to unexpectedly walk into the scene. Paul Rudd, who had been eagerly anticipated to rejoin the MCU, momentarily obstructed the camera lens, jesting that he forgot his glasses, injecting a touch of humor into the D23 exposition.

All We Know About Avengers: Doomsday So Far

The film titled “Avengers: Doomsday” serves as the climax of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Multiverse Storyline, being the first significant reunion of the Avengers since 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame”. Initially introduced at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022 as “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty”, this project experienced a major transformation after actor Jonathan Majors left and there were changes within Marvel Studios.
