Nicolas Cage responds to the reports that he has been cast in True Detective season 5.
Nicolas Cage recently told Variety that he’s discussed appearing in season 5 of True Detective with the show’s creator, Issa López. However, he emphasized he hasn’t committed to anything and hasn’t received any updates recently. You can find his complete statement below.
I’m not sure what’s happening with the project, but I believe they’re still developing it. It’s been a while since I last heard anything, and I’m not currently involved in any official capacity – we’re just having preliminary conversations. I’m a big fan of Issa López and would love to collaborate with her if the opportunity arises, but there are no firm plans yet. Also, I haven’t watched the first season of True Detective, though I’ve heard it’s excellent.
