The newest trailer for Daredevil: Born Again confirms a direct confrontation between Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) and Daredevil, marking a departure from a long-held pattern within Marvel’s more grounded stories. The conflict between Daredevil and Kingpin reached intense levels in the original Daredevil series on Netflix, with Season 1 demonstrating just how physically powerful Fisk is. Although Daredevil won their first fight in Season 1, Season 3 delivered the rematch fans had been waiting for, featuring a chaotic battle between Fisk, Daredevil, and Bullseye.

In the third season of Daredevil, the final confrontation between Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) resulted in Fisk’s defeat and a quiet return to prison. Murdock secured this outcome by agreeing not to reveal Vanessa’s involvement in criminal activities. This battle took place in the season finale, Episode 13, which aired in October 2018. Although both Daredevil and Kingpin reappeared in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, they didn’t have a direct physical fight. However, that will change in Season 2.
A new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has confirmed that Daredevil and Kingpin will have a physical showdown. This marks the first time these two longtime Marvel rivals will fight in seven years.

The preview featured Kingpin and Daredevil running towards each other, each determined to protect New York City, though through very different approaches.

This rematch is important because it ends a long wait for fans of this classic Marvel rivalry. What makes their fights so captivating is the personal connection and strong emotions involved – it’s a clash between Matt Murdock’s controlled strength and Wilson Fisk’s powerful, unrestrained anger.

Who Will Win Between Daredevil & Kingpin?

The conflict between Daredevil and Kingpin in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is even more intense than their battles in the original Netflix series. The outcome of their fight will likely determine who controls the future of New York City.
As the mayor of New York City, Fisk is incredibly powerful and carefully plans his moves. He feels untouchable, making him a serious threat. He demonstrated just how ruthless he is in Season 1 when he brutally killed a man with his bare hands, proving he’s not someone to be underestimated.
Daredevil has an edge over Fisk, having defeated him twice before. Murdock’s accuracy and fighting ability consistently overcome Fisk’s reliance on strength.
It’s currently unclear who will win the conflict between these rivals. However, if Murdock is victorious, he wouldn’t kill Fisk – his strong moral principles wouldn’t allow it. This could lead to a similar outcome as the end of Daredevil Season 3, leaving the door open for Fisk to return and cause trouble again in the future.
If Murdock wants to succeed, he needs to reveal the truth about Kingpin and convince powerful politicians to join his fight to remove Kingpin from office and liberate the people of New York from his control.
