New Marvel TV Show Quickly Becomes A Disney Sensation After Just Days Of Release

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is moving forward with its plans for 2026, continuing the story of The Multiverse Saga with its final movies and series. We’re now about halfway through Phase 6, and a new superhero is debuting on a Marvel TV show.

I’m so excited to see that Wonder Man is already a hit on Disney+! It just dropped, and Disney+ is reporting it’s become the most popular series on the platform in the US – that’s amazing news for Marvel’s Phase 6!

FlixPatrol reports that Wonder Man is currently the most popular show on Disney+ in Canada, Belgium, Australia, and twelve other countries: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Croatia, Japan, Latvia, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Serbia, and Switzerland. It’s also performing very well in San Marino and Italy, where it’s the second most popular show on Disney+.

As a critic, I’m keeping a close eye on Marvel’s TV ventures, and Wonder Man is already looking like a win for the studio. Currently, it’s sitting pretty with a 91% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and audiences seem to agree, giving it a 91% approval rating as well. It’s a promising start for Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s new series.

The Wonder Man series follows Simon Williams, an actor who gains superpowers and is cast in a superhero movie remake. At the same time, he’s being pursued by the government agency known as Damage Control. The series was co-created by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Andrew Guest, who is the head writer.

ScreenRant’s review of the new Wonder Man TV show praised it for showing the main character working tirelessly to reach his goals. As for whether Simon will return in future Marvel projects, Marvel Studios hasn’t made any official announcements yet.

Marvel’s next TV show is the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, scheduled to debut on March 24th. Though a release date hasn’t been announced yet, the WandaVision spin-off, VisionQuest, is also expected on Disney+ sometime in 2026.

All eight episodes of Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man are now streaming, exclusively on Disney+.
