Anya Taylor-Joy will reprise her role as Princess Peach in the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie. A recent preview suggests the film will delve into Peach’s backstory, with a clip showing her telling Mario she doesn’t know her birthday or where she originally came from, as neither she nor the Toads have any memory of her origins.

The storybook mentions Rosalina came from a “blue planet,” but doesn’t say exactly where. Her sad past—involving a family loss—could connect to the plot of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The movie might reveal Rosalina is grieving for Peach, or perhaps they share a mother who was lost, explaining why Peach disappeared and Rosalina never knew what happened to her.
