A new logo for *Avengers: Doomsday* was spotted on set, giving fans their first look. Since the movie was announced at Comic-Con 2024, the visual branding had remained consistent with a green and gray design. This new logo, however, hinted at the look of Doctor Doom, with imagery of steel and fabric, and offered an exciting preview of the upcoming battle inspired by the comics.
A crew shirt from the set of *Avengers: Doomsday* recently revealed a possible new logo for the movie, suggesting a departure from the design fans have seen in promotional materials over the past year.
The photo was shared by Daren Nop, the fight coordinator for the movie *Doomsday*, on his Instagram Story. It shows a special item of Marvel merchandise.
The shirt is black with a white “Avengers: Doomsday” logo. The letters in the logo are filled with a pattern of rippling dots, which might symbolize the many different realities within the Marvel universe – a key theme of the movie.
The subtitle “Doomsday” now uses a completely new font. This font is thinner than the one used previously, and instead of rounded edges, it has sharp, angled corners – a noticeable difference from the original “Doomsday” title.
The shirt appears to have been a gift to the film crew celebrating the end of filming this week. We can expect *Doomsday* to have some additional filming later, likely before it comes out in December 2026.
The new *Doomsday* logo is interesting, but it’s not yet clear if it will become the standard design, replacing the familiar green and gray version, or if it’s just for certain products like this one.
This isn’t the first time the logo for *Avengers 5* has been updated. When the movie was originally called *Avengers: The Kang Dynasty*, the first logo had a more purple color scheme. (You can see all the *Avengers* logos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe here.)
The next installment in Marvel Studios’ hugely successful *Avengers* series, *Avengers: Doomsday*, will pit Earth’s heroes against Doctor Doom, a villain from another universe. Directed by the team behind *Avengers: Endgame*, the film is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026.
Why Did Marvel Change the Avengers: Doomsday Logo?
It’s unclear if the new *Avengers: Doomsday* logo will work well with everything related to *Doomsday*, or even just look good on a simple black t-shirt. Still, it’s a promising development.
This new look for the movie suggests a focus on the Multiverse. The waving, dotted design hints at the endless possibilities and themes the film will explore.
As a long-time fan, I always loved the original *Doomsday* logo. It just screamed ‘Doom!’ – the metallic look and that green glow instantly made me think of the classic villain, right down to his silver mask and green hood. It’s a really striking image and so different from what I’ve seen now.
The updated logo appears to heavily feature the idea of the Multiverse and traveling between different universes, offering a fresh take on the film’s central theme.
This might also signal that more big news about the movie is on the way. Now that filming is finished or nearly finished, and a new logo has appeared on merchandise, we could soon see a trailer or other details about this major Marvel Cinematic Universe film, including the reveal of the new logo.
There’s been talk that we might see more of the movie before the year is out-possibly a trailer shown with *Avatar 3* in December-and this new logo could be the start of that promotion.
