Netflix’s New 100% RT Crime Thriller Is Already A Masterpiece

Many consider this Netflix crime thriller series to be one of the best ever made. The recently released fourth season received a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, continuing the show’s run of overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Though not made by Netflix, most of this fantastic crime thriller, which has a Western feel, is currently streaming on the platform. Season 4 premiered on February 15th and will be added to Netflix at a later date.

Dark Winds Has A Perfect 100% RT Score Across 4 Seasons

The crime drama Dark Winds continues to impress critics, earning a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes with the release of its fourth season on February 15th. This latest success further establishes the show as a critically acclaimed masterpiece.

AMC’s series Dark Winds is part of a lineup of critically acclaimed shows like Mad Men and Breaking Bad. While it originally aired on AMC and its streaming service AMC+, Dark Winds has become a global hit on Netflix. This is significant considering AMC has around 10.4 million subscribers compared to Netflix’s massive 325 million.

As a huge fan of crime dramas, I’ve been completely hooked on Dark Winds since it first came out in 2022, and honestly, it just keeps getting better! It follows two Navajo police officers – Joe Leaphorn, played brilliantly by Zahn McClarnon, and Kiowa Gordon as Jim Chee – working cases in the 1970s Southwest. It’s already been renewed for a fifth season, which is fantastic, but it’s baffling to me that a show this good hasn’t gotten any recognition from the Emmys or Golden Globes. It’s truly a snub!

Season four of the acclaimed crime thriller Dark Winds, executive produced by Robert Redford and George R.R. Martin, continues to impress, with critics reporting no drop in quality. Ebaster awarded the season 8 out of 10 stars, praising the strong supporting storylines and character development, even if the main mystery isn’t as compelling.

Binge Dark Winds Seasons 1-3 On Netflix & Season 4 On AMC+

I’m so glad all three seasons of Dark Winds are currently on Netflix here in the US! But if you’re outside the US, like in the UK or Canada, it might be different. Now, for season four, it’s a bit of a change – you’ll need to pay to watch it. You can get it through your cable provider, or by subscribing to AMC+. AMC+ subscriptions start at $7.99 a month, and they usually have a free trial, which is great!

Although a fourth season of Dark Winds is planned, it likely won’t be available on Netflix until after the season finale airs on April 5, 2026. The show has received great reviews, and may be worth subscribing to the streaming service that carries it. However, you can already enjoy the first three seasons of this acclaimed crime thriller on Netflix.
