Even though season 2 of All of Us Are Dead isn’t coming out for a while, the popularity of Netflix’s new K-drama, No Tail To Tell, shows there’s a lot of anticipation for its return. It’s been four years since the first season of All of Us Are Dead was released on Netflix, which might be surprising!
Thanks to its unique story, All of Us Are Dead quickly became one of the most popular and well-regarded zombie shows ever made. The series focuses on a group of high school students in South Korea who find themselves trapped and fighting for survival when a deadly zombie virus breaks out at their school. Most of the action takes place within the school building, highlighting the students’ fear and desperate struggle.
Most of the main characters are students at the school, and they fit familiar high school stereotypes – you’ve got the class president, the spoiled rich kid, and the troubled rebel. Lomon stands out as Lee Su-hyeok, a former delinquent who proves to be surprisingly complex, and Lee Kyu-hyung delivers a strong performance as the understanding detective, Song Jae-ik.
Lomon’s K-Drama No Tail To Tell Is A Huge Netflix Hit
Lomon successfully launched his career with his popular role in All of Us Are Dead. Since the show premiered in 2022, he’s starred in a series of well-received K-dramas, including Revenge of Others (2022), Branding in Seongsu and Family Matters (both 2024).
His latest K-drama, No Tail To Tell, now streaming on Netflix, might be his biggest success since All of Us Are Dead. While his previous hit was a terrifying horror series, No Tail To Tell is a completely different kind of show – a fantastical romance. It centers around a mischievous gumiho, a nine-tailed fox from Korean folklore, who unexpectedly becomes human.
When Kim Hye-yoon’s character, Eun-ho, meets Kang Si-yeol, a gifted but conceited soccer player, she’s forced to confront the challenges of human life. Having lived for centuries as a mythical being, Eun-ho is unfamiliar with everyday struggles. No Tail To Tell is a lighthearted fantasy that mixes romance, humor, and drama as Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol’s paths become increasingly connected.
Compared to the intensely dramatic and often devastating deaths in All Of Us Are Dead, No Tail To Tell offers a refreshing change of pace with its lighthearted, funny, and charming story. The series allowed viewers to see a different, more playful side of Lomon, which likely contributed to its success.
The new film, No Tail To Tell, quickly climbed to the sixth most-watched spot on Netflix, demonstrating that actor Lomon is a popular leading man. This success also highlights the strong anticipation for season two of All of Us Are Dead, as the show’s actors have gained more recognition since becoming well-known.

It’s unclear exactly how important Lomon’s character, Bare-su, will be in season 2 of All of Us Are Dead. Unlike many other key characters, Bare-su made it through the events of season 1, and Lomon has been confirmed to return for the next season, which is good news for fans.
Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead will focus on Park Ji-hu’s character, Nam On-jo, and her experiences as a college student in Seoul. While a new outbreak is expected, it’s unclear how significant a role Lee Cheong-san (Bare-su) will play in the upcoming season.
Where Else You Can Watch The Cast Of All Of Us Are Dead
Since the first season of All of Us Are Dead, the show’s cast members have continued to find success in other projects. Park Ji-hu has starred in Spring of Youth and Spirit Fingers, while Yoon Chan-young, who played Lee Cheong-san, will appear in High School Return of a Gangster in 2024 and Hyper Knife in 2025. Lee Yoo-mi has taken leading roles in series like Strong Girl Nam-soon, Mr. Plankton, and As You Stood By.
Since starring in the popular zombie series, Cho Yi-hyun has continued to succeed in other dramas like The Matchmakers and Head Over Heels. It will be fascinating to see the original cast of All of Us Are Dead return for season 2. Because of the long wait between seasons, the characters have aged and are now in college instead of high school.
It’s been a long time – both within the story and in real life – since the first season of All of Us Are Dead. Production on season 2 has been moving slowly. While the show’s intricate action sequences and visual effects likely contribute to the delay, a year-long pause in production announced in 2024 also set back its development.
While the extra time allows the show’s creators to carefully plan the next season, it also presents a challenge. As seen with popular shows like Euphoria, the final season of Stranger Things, and the second season of Wednesday, series featuring young actors playing teenagers can face difficulties when there are long gaps between seasons.
Everyone is hoping the second season of the zombie thriller will be fantastic and silence its critics. But the longer the wait, the more it seems like the new season might not live up to expectations when it finally arrives.
