Netflix Renews Finding Her Edge for Season 2

Netflix has ordered another season of Finding Her Edge. The series is adapted from the popular young adult novel of the same name by Jennifer Iacopelli. Since premiering on Netflix in January, the show has become a hit, and the book is now selling very well too.

Author Jennifer Iacopelli is thrilled with the positive response to Finding Her Edge from viewers around the globe. She says seeing her book adapted and connecting with audiences through her characters has been a dream, and she’s excited that the story will continue with a second season. Iacopelli can’t wait for fans to see what happens next with Adriana, Brayden, Freddie, and the rest of Team Russo!

Netflix reports that Finding Her Edge has become a global hit, reaching the top 10 in 81 countries and attracting over 12 million viewers. The show quickly made it into the top 10 English TV shows on Netflix and has stayed there, currently ranking at number three.

Jeff Norton, showrunner of Finding Her Edge, says he created the show to explore love through the lives of characters facing challenges in both their personal lives and their athletic careers. He’s thrilled to continue their stories in Season 2 with the backing of Netflix and WildBrain, and to work with such a skilled cast. He promises fans more drama—both on and off the ice—as the show explores the two central love triangles: a romantic one and a complex family dynamic.

Netflix Renews Finding Her Edge for Season as It Drives Book Sales

In Finding Her Edge, Adriana Russo (played by Madelyn Keys) is trying to revive her family’s ice dancing legacy. As she trains with her new partner, Brayden Elliot (Cale Ambrozic), for the World Championships, she can’t shake her feelings for her former partner and first love, Freddie O’Connell (Olly Atkins).

The book Finding Her Edge has seen a significant increase in sales thanks to its connection with Netflix. According to Jen Klonsky, head of Putnam Books for Young Readers, the paperback edition—released with a Netflix promotion in December 2025—has sold five times more copies in the last eight weeks than the original hardcover, which was first published in 2022.

Alice Sutherland-Hawes, the author’s agent, explains that before the Netflix series was announced, they had publishing deals in the US and Germany. Shortly after the announcement, they secured a UK publisher and translation rights in 13 other countries. The author’s existing books and future titles are also receiving increased international attention and new translation deals as a result.

Netflix announced two renewals today: the comedy series A Man on the Inside, starring Ted Danson, will return for a third season, and the show Finding Her Edge has also been renewed. This is the second renewal announcement Netflix made today.

Find Her Edge Season 1 is streaming now on Netflix.
