Netflix Action Thriller Series ‘Bloodhounds’ Season 2 Proves to Be Perfect Binge-Watch

A fantastic action thriller that often flies under the radar has made a strong comeback with its second season, quickly becoming a hit with viewers. The show follows two talented boxers who, inspired by characters like Jack Reacher, use their fighting skills to punish criminals and take down a ruthless loan shark. Following overwhelmingly positive reviews – 89% from critics and 92% from audiences – for its exciting first season, the new season is already climbing the charts and earning rave reviews.

The first season of Bloodhounds, which premiered in 2023, starred Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi as two Marines with a strong sense of justice and a knack for fighting. The show follows them as they take on dangerous criminals. Season 2 will expand the scope with the high-stakes world of underground boxing and introduce a new, formidable villain played by Jung Ji-hoon (also known as Rain).

Despite being surprisingly overlooked, only a few reviews of Bloodhounds Season 2 are currently available. However, early reviews suggest it’s a strong return filled with exciting action. But Why Tho? found it didn’t quite live up to the first season, but still called it “a fast, action-packed race.” India Today praised the new season as a “clean, decisive knockout,” highlighting “sharper action and stronger emotions” as it explores brotherhood within the dangerous world of underground boxing. FandomWire went even further, declaring Season 2 “Thrill, Melodrama, And Action, Turned Up To Eleven,” and stating that it “delivers on everything fans wanted, right to the very end.”

Okay, so I just finished watching Season 2 of Bloodhounds, and wow! It dropped on Netflix on April 3rd, 2026, and it’s already making a huge splash. Seriously, it’s quickly become super popular, not just worldwide, but here in the US too. As of today, it’s hit number 2 on Netflix’s global charts and number 5 in the US – and I have a feeling it’s going to climb even higher in the next few days. It’s based on a really popular webtoon by Jeong Chan, and directed by Kim Joo-hwan, and trust me, it’s worth checking out!

Season 2 of Bloodhounds continues the story after Geon-woo and Woo-jin dismantle a loan shark operation. Geon-woo is still pursuing his boxing dreams, and Woo-jin is now his coach and a supportive figure in his life. They’re both doing well until a dangerous new opponent, Baek-jeong, appears. Baek-jeong runs a brutal underground boxing league and quickly defeats anyone who stands in his way. Motivated solely by money and violence, he targets Geon-woo for his next fight.
