We’re beginning to understand how Anna Sawai’s character fits into the world of the giant Titans. The second season of the Apple TV+ MonsterVerse show is now filming, and the actors are sharing interesting hints with fans. Sawai’s comments are especially intriguing.
Sawai explained that the character was understandably fearful of the monsters, given the events of G-Day and the impact Godzilla had on her life. However, when she truly confronts them, particularly in the first season, she comes to realize they are also living creatures with their own existence, and aren’t necessarily trying to harm humanity.
I believe she feels for them on some level. I can’t pinpoint the exact reason, but she seems to have a bit more concern for them than most people do.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Will Explore Cate’s Connection to the Titans
Cate’s relationship with the Titans is a central puzzle in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. A brief scene featuring Cate and Titan X – described by Apple as a devastating, living force – hinted at this connection.
Okay, so the new trailer for season two has me seriously worried about this Titan X. It looks massive and Godzilla and Kong actually have to team up to take it down – which is crazy! Apparently, this scientist, Cate, feels responsible for letting Titan X loose, but her connection to these Titans might be the key to actually stopping it. Hopefully she can figure things out before it’s too late!
Okay, so I’m really starting to think this whole mystery revolves around Hiroshi and his history with Monarch. Remember in season one how they started digging into that? It’s all coming back now because Hiroshi is actually Cate’s dad! And it gets even more complicated – he’s the son of the people who started Monarch, Keiko Miura and Bill Randa. Basically, both Hiroshi and Cate are super connected to the Titans, and their family story is a big piece of the puzzle.
The MonsterVerse Grows to Titanic Proportions With Monarch: Legacy of Monsters
The MonsterVerse is currently very popular, largely because the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has been well-received by both critics and viewers. This show, a collaboration between Toho and Legendary Television, is maintaining excitement for classic monsters like Kong and Godzilla until the next movie, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, arrives in 2027.
The show is already a huge hit, currently ranking as the most popular series ahead of its second season premiere. With new episodes arriving weekly, it’s expected to stay that way. Viewers are captivated by the adventures of Kong and Godzilla, and are eager to learn more about the organization, Monarch, and its connection to their story.
You can watch new episodes of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters every Friday on Apple TV, with the final episode of the season arriving on May 1st.
