Tom Hardy is currently filming the second season of his popular Paramount+ series, which also features Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Joanne Froggart. Froggart was recently spotted filming scenes with Hardy in London as they continue production on the new season.
Recent photos on JustJared show Tom Hardy and Austin Butler filming near the River Thames in London, bundled up against the cold. The pictures hint at a dramatic scene between their characters, which fits with the show’s themes of conflict and strained relationships.
Ronan Bennett created MobLand, with Guy Ritchie serving as an executive producer and director. The first season centers on Harry Da Souza (played by Hardy), a man who works for the powerful Harrigan crime family, led by Conrad and Maeve Harrigan (Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren). The story follows a growing conflict between the Harrigans and their rivals, the Stevensons, led by Ritchie Stevenson (Geoff Bell), as Harry tries to prevent the feud from collapsing both criminal organizations.
The first season of the show quickly became one of Paramount+’s biggest hits, ranking as the second most-watched series during its initial 10 episodes. It was officially picked up for another season in June 2025, following a record-breaking debut that drew 2.2 million viewers (though other shows from Taylor Sheridan have since surpassed that number). Over the entire season, the show amassed over 26 million views.
Details about the story for Mobland Season 2 are still largely a secret. However, Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond have joined the returning cast – which includes Hardy, Froggart, Brosnan, and Mirren – as new main characters, an announcement made in December 2025. A release date for the new season hasn’t been announced yet.

Joanne Froggatt recently discussed her return to the show Mobland with MovieWeb. While also talking about her work in the upcoming Downton Abbey film, she shared news about filming and expressed her enthusiasm for being back on set.
I’m so excited – we’re starting filming for Season 2 around the end of October! Just a few weeks away! I absolutely loved working on Mobland – the script was fantastic, and my character, Jan, was just incredible. The whole cast was amazing, and I honestly feel so lucky to be a part of it. I’ve always dreamed of playing a gangster or a gangster’s wife, and this role was perfect!
As a huge fan, I’ve been tracking everything about Mobland Season 1, and it sounds like they’re really in the home stretch of filming now – they’ve been shooting since October! Season 1 came out in March, so a quick turnaround for Season 2 seemed unlikely, but I’m so excited to hear we’ll definitely be seeing Hardy and the rest of the crew back on our screens sometime in 2026!
