Michael B. Jordan’s Creed Returns 3 Years Later With New Cast

Sylvester Stallone is famous for many successful movies, but he’s especially known for Rambo and Rocky. Both characters remain popular decades after their first appearances, with a new Rambo prequel in the works and the Rocky story continuing through a series of films.

The film, starring Oscar-winning actor Michael B. Jordan, came out between 2015 and 2023. Discussions about continuing the story began in 2023, and in May 2025, plans were announced for a new show. Just a year later, it was reported that the show had already cast a completely new group of actors.

Who Stars in Delphi?

Production for Season 1 of Delphi has begun in Los Angeles. So far, Wood Harris, known for his role in The Wire and all three Creed films, is the only cast member with ties to the Creed franchise. He played Tony “Little Duke” Evers, Adonis Creed’s trainer and mentor, and will reprise his role, continuing that legacy by training students at the Delphi Academy.

The main cast of the new series Delphi includes Benji Santiago as Santi Torres, a promising boxer always compared to his brother, and Juan Castano as Nico Torres, Santi’s naturally talented older brother.

Demián Bichir will star as Hector Torres, the head of the Torres family. André Holland will play Teddy ‘T-Bone’ Parker, a boxing expert and instructor at the Delphi Academy. Andre Royo will portray Elmer Tatum, a quirky boxing historian. Sofia Black-D’Elia will play Bobbi Weiss, an accountant hoping to become a trainer at a top boxing school, and Victoria Vourkoutiotis will play Kai Katsaros, a talented but shy boxer who struggles with confidence and anxiety as she tries to reach her full potential.

The show also features returning actors such as Niles Fitch (known from Forever), Dasan Frazier (A Different World), Graham Patrick Martin (Catch 22), Brittany Adebumola (M.I.A.), Rene Moran (Cross), Okieriete Onaodowan (Hamilton), and Breanna Yde (School of Rock).

The Rocky Franchise Has Been a Huge Hit

The Rocky movies began in 1976, all written by Sylvester Stallone, who also starred as Rocky Balboa. John G. Avildsen directed the original film, and Stallone himself directed three sequels, later returning to direct the final installment, with Avildsen directing the fifth. The Creed series, a continuation of the Rocky story, started in 2015, with the first film winning three Academy Awards.

The nine films in the series cost $279 million to make and earned an impressive $1.93 billion worldwide, making them one of Amazon’s most successful franchises.

Besides the new Delphi project, discussions have also included a Rocky prequel series, which has been planned since 2019, and other potential expansions.

Delphi doesn’t have a release date, but it will premiere on Prime Video.
