Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway Reunite in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Trailer

As a total movie buff, I was thrilled to see the first trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 drop yesterday! It looks like Meryl Streep is reprising her iconic role as Miranda Priestley, and it seems she has a fun little scene with Anne Hathaway’s Andrea Sachs. Honestly, seeing those two back together is exactly what I needed!

Okay, so the new teaser is everything. It starts with Miranda, looking totally powerful, walking through the office to Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ – seriously, the click-clack of those red heels is instantly iconic. Then, just as she’s about to get in the elevator, Andy saves the day, smoothly stepping in between the doors. Miranda gives her that classic, cool once-over and deadpans, “Took you long enough.” But then, Andy’s face lights up with a huge grin, and you can just see Miranda give a tiny, satisfied smirk. It’s such a great moment – you can really feel their dynamic!

‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Fans Go Wild for Sequel Teaser

After twenty years, fans of The Devil Wears Prada were thrilled to finally get a glimpse of the long-awaited sequel.

Fans are excited about the upcoming film! One user on X celebrated Meryl Streep’s return and her classic hairstyle. Another joked about needing a Prada-filled wardrobe to prepare, while a third fan enthusiastically declared they’d happily spend any amount of money to see Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Lady Gaga all in one movie.

Meanwhile, others praised the teaser for its epic use of classic Madonna.

One YouTube commenter, excited about the trailer, wrote, ‘It feels like a Vogue introduction, and I love the sound of the heels! I’ll be watching this with a focus on fashion. We can’t let Miranda down at the theater!’ Another user added that Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ is a classic fashion anthem, expressing their enthusiasm with, ‘So excited! Let’s go!’

Twenty years after its release, a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is in the works. It will focus on Miranda as she deals with a challenging relationship with Emily Charlton – her former assistant who has now become a competing executive at the magazine – all while the print media industry continues to struggle.

Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt are all returning for the sequel, and they’ll be joined by Stanley Tucci as Nigel, Miranda’s trusted friend and fashion expert. Tracie Thoms will also reprise her role as Andy’s friend Lily, and Tibor Feldman is back as Irv Ravitz, the head of Elias-Clark. The cast will also include new faces like Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Lady Gaga, B.J. Novak, Rachel Bloom, Pauline Chalamet, Simone Ashley, and others.

Andy won’t be reuniting with her ex, Nate, who was played by Adrian Grenier (known for his role in Entourage). Instead, Patrick Brammall, from Colin From Accounts, will play Andy’s new boyfriend.

Catch The Devil Wears Prada 2 in theaters on May 1, 2026.
