C-3PO is a beloved and essential character in the original Star Wars trilogy, famously helping Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Some fans even believe he’s the architect of the entire story! The comic series Maul – Shadow Lord further develops Darth Maul’s look and story, giving the famous Star Wars villain his own spotlight. Richard Ayoade previously appeared in Star Wars: The Mandalorian as Q9-0, a droid working with a group of mercenaries. While that role was small and didn’t showcase his talents, his new character, Two-Boots, will be much more prominent. It’s difficult to think of a comedian who could sound and act more like C-3PO than Ayoade does when he’s performing.
