Marvel’s Best Show in Years Is Still Climbing Up the Charts 1 Month After Season Finale

I think a lot of us were worried Wonder Man would just be a throwaway series for Disney+ and the MCU, especially coming out first in 2026. But honestly, we were all so wrong! Despite being a bit longer than most shows, critics and fans have absolutely loved it, and the latest numbers just prove how popular it’s become.

Even after nearly three months since its release, people are still watching and rewatching Marvel’s ‘Wonder Man’. After a brief dip in popularity, it’s now gaining momentum again as we head into March.

As spring begins, Wonder Man remains popular on Disney+, holding strong at number 8.

The show deserves praise, especially for the fantastic performances by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who many will recognize as Black Manta from DC films, and Sir Ben Kingsley. Their characters started off with a very unusual relationship, but it quickly evolved into something truly remarkable as the series progressed.

Is Wonder Man Is The Best Marvel Series … Ever?

Despite the show’s limited promotion compared to other Marvel series, rumors are still strong that Disney and Marvel are considering a second season of Wonder Man. Many previously thought a renewal was unlikely.

What made the show so captivating was how seamlessly Jonathan Majors embodied Simon Williams – it didn’t feel like acting at all. His portrayal of vulnerability and anxiety was genuine, and you could truly feel his character’s struggles.

He shared that what excites him most about Wonder Man is that it’s not a typical superhero story. He sees it as a story about striving for goals, the importance of friendships, and pursuing your dreams. He explained that his character, Simon, is someone with a unique talent who feels overlooked, and that’s a feeling many people can relate to – wanting to be recognized for your abilities and working hard to achieve your aspirations.

The show focuses on both Simon and Trevor, and especially their dynamic. It’s great to be able to tell their story in a smart, entertaining way, with a bit of an edge, all within the Marvel universe. It’s a really exciting project to be involved with.

With everyone eagerly anticipating the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the massive Avengers: Doomsday event, it’s a smaller, unexpected story that’s actually shaping the direction of Phase Six and beyond in the Marvel universe.
