A popular character from the movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be the focus of a new spin-off story, taking place before the team appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel is promising a fresh adventure that expands on the history of the iconic superhero team – recently brought to life by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, along with their robot companion.
The Fantastic Four will temporarily step aside as Shalla-Bal, played by Julia Garner as a version of the Silver Surfer in “First Steps,” takes center stage. Marvel Comics has revealed she’ll be the main focus of the next issue in the “Fantastic Four: First Foes” series, which serves as an official lead-up to the upcoming Marvel movie. According to Bleeding Cool News, a special one-shot comic called “Shalla-Bal: Silver Surfer,” coming out in June, will delve deeper into her backstory, showing her transformation from her home planet Zenn-La to becoming the Silver Surfer.
