Marvel Has a New Spider-Man — And It Isn’t Peter Parker or Miles Morales

Marvel has a brand-new Spider-Man who isn’t Peter Parker or Miles Morales.

Marvel Comics recently introduced a new Spider-Man in Venom #251, joining Peter Parker and Miles Morales as web-slingers. The issue was created by writer Al Ewing, artist Paco Medina, colorist Frank D’Armata, and letterer Clayton Cowles of VC.

Who is Marvel’s new Spider-Man?

Recently in Marvel comics, Mary Jane Watson has joined forces with the Venom symbiote. They’re currently chasing a villain, but because Venom is wanted by the authorities, they have to go into hiding and disguise themselves.

Initially, they attempt to disguise themselves as Iron Man, but this doesn’t work well. Still needing a disguise, Mary Jane suggests they pretend to be the ‘gooiest guy’ they know. This leads to Mary Jane and Venom transforming into a new, venom-powered version of Spider-Man.

Venom #251 is kicking off a new story arc! Doc Ock is now in charge at S.C.A.R. and has set his sights on the new symbiote, Toxin. Luke Cage is concerned, and New York’s mayor must decide whether to uphold the law or side with what the symbiotes believe is right. There are also some changes coming for MJ and Venom, plus the return of Blue Streak!

The next chapter of the Venom story begins in issue #252, coming out on December 2, 2025. This issue reveals the long-rumored new look for Venom – a red and blue suit – and a new identity! New York City will be shocked to learn their latest Spider-Man is actually the Venom symbiote, and Luke Cage and Otto Octavius are about to have a showdown over it. The issue also includes an extra story detailing the origins of an even newer version of Venom!

The latest issue of Venom, #251, has artwork by Carlos Gómez and Frank Martin, with alternate covers by Inhyuk Lee, Jerome Opeña, Puppeteer Lee, and Skan. You can find it at comic book stores now.
