It’s a great month for Jessica Jones fans! Krysten Ritter is returning to the Marvel universe in Daredevil: Born Again, with the first episode of season two premiering on Disney+ on March 24th. Many fans have missed her character, and her return feels long overdue.
Just after hinting at Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox) potential involvement and playfully asking if he’s up for some mischief in a few weeks, Marvel Comics has revealed a fresh new comic book cover for Jessica Jones, arriving in stores on March 11th – about two weeks before Krysten Ritter reprises her role as the character.
Writer Sam Humphries praised Jessica Jones, telling Polygon that she’s a one-of-a-kind character—smart, sarcastic, and incredibly determined. He noted that creators Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos really nailed her original design, giving her a fresh perspective on the world of superheroes. Humphries is looking forward to exploring more complex and challenging cases for Jessica and seeing just how far she’ll go to get results.
It’s Jessica Jones As You’ve Never Seen Her Before
This brand-new series is a tribute to the original Alias from the early 2000s. Written by Humphries, illustrated by Geraldo Borges, and featuring cover art by David Mack, it’s guaranteed to be a thrilling and explosive ride.
The new miniseries has a really captivating story, just like its visuals. Plus, the show confirms that she and Luke Cage are married – something Disney+ could definitely learn from Netflix, and I agree completely.
