Things really went downhill after the ambush. Being stuck in that safe house with no way to contact the outside world, we started turning on each other. It felt like everyone had secrets – a hidden mission, something they weren’t telling us, or a past they were trying to hide. When we discovered the signal that triggered the explosion came from inside with us, all hell broke loose. Trust completely vanished, and we just started fighting each other.
As armed forces prepare to raid their hideout, the group is forced to choose between uniting or turning on each other in a desperate fight for survival where trust is nonexistent. The cast includes John-Kamen, Tan, Lucien Laviscount (known from Emily in Paris), Holt McCallany, Ethan Embry (Eagle Eye), and Michael Bradway (Marked Men: Rule+Shaw).
Safe House’s Actors Did All Their Own Stunts
This film is Marshall’s first time directing, but he has a strong background in action movies, having worked on films like Immortals and many others. He emphasized the importance of making the story feel realistic. “We wanted to create a sense of possibility – that this could actually happen,” Marshall explained. To ensure authenticity, he consulted with therapists who specialize in working with veterans, and even brought on a former CIA operative as an advisor during the filmmaking process.
Beyond the thrilling action, Safe House explores deeper themes. According to Marshall, the show is about more than just excitement – it’s a story of people working together to survive and protect each other.
Safe House will be released by Vertical on Oct. 31.
