Okay, so this is a bit of a bummer for us Avatar: The Last Airbender fans. The sequel, which was going to be called The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, isn’t going to be in theaters after all. Instead of seeing it on the big screen, we’ll be able to enjoy the next part of the story from home. It’s not exactly what we hoped for, but at least we’re still getting more Avatar!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the live-action The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will premiere on Paramount+ in Fall 2026. Plus, a new animated series called Avatar: Seven Havens, created by Avatar Studios, is also coming to the streaming service. Jane Wiseman, Paramount+’s Head of Originals, made an announcement regarding these new shows.
For twenty years, the world of Avatar has thrilled viewers, and now Paramount+ is the only place to stream its popular animated shows. The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and the new series Avatar: Seven Havens are the latest adventures from Avatar Studios, created with incredible talent to deliver the exciting stories and heartfelt moments fans love. With these shows joining The Legend of Korra and the original Avatar, Paramount+ is the ultimate destination for animated Avatar fans.
More to come.
