Recent years have brought us amazing concert films from artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and BTS. But despite a huge 2024 with her album Brat, Charli XCX hadn’t released one of her own—until now. The Moment, a new mockumentary from A24 about the pop star’s cultural impact, is coming soon. And to help promote it, Charli teamed up with Kylie Jenner, and naturally, the pair posed in black bikinis.
Kylie Jenner is actually one of several familiar faces who will appear in The Moment, possibly portraying a fictionalized version of herself, just like Charli XCX. Brat Summer may be over, but at least through the movie and marketing like this, we can bask in its glow a little longer:
Kylie Jenner changed her outfit from a pink wig and latex dress – which singer Charli XCX loved – to a black latex bikini and white robe. She and the star and producer of the new film The Moment announced that advance tickets are now on sale in Los Angeles and New York. Charli XCX matched Kylie’s vibe, wearing a similar, slightly more revealing bikini and adding black sunglasses for a bold look.
The picture seems to be from the movie set. The bikini the person is wearing looks identical to the one Kylie Jenner wears in the movie’s trailer, which is available to view below.
Besides Charli XCX leading the cast, The Moment features Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Alexander Skarsgård, and others. I’m looking forward to seeing how audiences react when it premieres at the Sundance Film Festival next week, before it hits theaters on January 30th.
Charli XCX has several exciting film projects planned for 2026, including a role in the movie The Moment. She’s also starring in two thrillers—the dark comedy The Gallerist and the erotic thriller I Want Your Sex—both of which will debut at Sundance. Beyond acting, she contributed to the music for Mother Mary, an upcoming thriller starring Anne Hathaway that’s been described as a witchy take on the Eras Tour, and is collaborating with renowned Japanese director Takashi Miike on another film.
Kylie Jenner has grown up on camera, but unlike her sister Kim, she hasn’t tried her hand at acting in scripted TV shows or movies. Her new project, The Moment, will be her first acting role, and she admitted to Khloé Kardashian on the Khloé in Wonder Land podcast that she was very nervous about it.
I was really nervous for days before filming my small part in the upcoming Charli movie. I had quite a few lines, but I was just so afraid of messing up.
It’s likely Kylie Jenner received some acting tips from her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, who’s been winning awards for his work in Marty Supreme. Plus, with Kim Kardashian’s show All’s Fair being a hit on Hulu, Kylie has plenty of experienced people she can ask for help.
Charli XCX is no stranger to showing off in a bikini, and fans are eager to see what other memorable fashion statements she makes before her film, The Moment, is released in theaters on January 30th.
