Kim Kardashian is known for her bold fashion choices, from dramatic haircuts to memorable dresses like the one she wore inspired by Marilyn Monroe. But she really turned heads at the recent Academy Museum Gala. She wore millions of dollars worth of jewelry and completely covered her face with gauze, taking her red carpet style to a new extreme.
Kim Kardashian embraced the spooky season with a striking Halloween look! According to The Sun, she covered her entire face in gauze, making it impossible to see, and needed assistance getting around. The unusual outfit transformed her into a ‘mannequin,’ highlighting a large, glittering collar. See the full look below!
Experts estimate the item’s value at a minimum of $2.5 million, and potentially much higher if it’s an antique or has historical significance. Jewelry designer Charlotte Leigh explained:
This exceptional piece, with its detailed artistry, could be worth between $2 and $5 million. It seems to be a lavish collar made of many white diamonds and bright green gems, probably emeralds.
Kim Kardashian paired her jewelry with a beige, custom-made dress by Margiela, designed by Glenn Martens. She mentioned the dress’s color reminded her of her own brand, SKIMS, and it’s clear she has a strong preference for neutral colors – not only in her clothing, but also in her home and reportedly, what she asks her employees to wear.
Okay, so it’s a little strange, but hear me out. Kim Kardashian – you know, *the* Kim Kardashian, whose new season of *The Kardashians* drops this month on Hulu – has one of the most famous faces in the world. And yet, she consistently makes headlines when she *hides* that face! It’s a fascinating paradox, and honestly, a big part of what keeps us all watching.

Watch The Kardashians on Hulu with a 30-day free trial! Both Hulu plans—with or without ads—include access to original series like The Kardashians. New and returning customers who qualify can try the service for a full month for free, with subscriptions starting at $9.99 per month. See the deal here.
She’s known for making bold fashion choices, and this latest outfit is no exception. Her head is wrapped in gauze, reminiscent of a mummy, but she’s done similar things before. At the 2021 Met Gala, she wore a black Balenciaga outfit that made her look like Batman. That same year, she also attended Kanye West’s listening event for his album Donda completely covered up, even wearing a ski mask to hide her face.
After debuting a covered-up look at the Academy Museum Gala on Saturday, Kim Kardashian changed into a second outfit and posted pictures of it on Instagram. The new look was inspired by Courtney Love.

Her dress is a throwback to the one that the Hole singer wore to the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards (when she famously crashed an interview with Madonna).
Kim Kardashian continued the fun after the gala at the Chateau Marmont hotel, where she playfully posed for pictures. She was photographed in the hotel’s hallways, on top of a table, and even squatting by a refrigerator. While several friends joined her, her sister Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber weren’t among those pictured there, despite having attended the gala earlier.
Fans can expect to see the Kardashians and Jenners back on screen very soon, with Kim Kardashian leading the way. Their reality show returns to Hulu on October 23rd, and Kim will also be starring in a new legal drama called *All’s Fair*, created by Ryan Murphy, which premieres on Hulu November 4th.
