She’s partnered with the game to create a character players can customize, with details inspired by iconic moments like when she lost a diamond earring in the ocean and two other famous scenes.

I admit I’m not the most well-versed Fortnite fan, but even I can appreciate how good this new Kim Kardashian skin looks. Especially being a longtime fan of the Kardashian-Jenner family, I love the nods to some of her most viral moments, and Kim made it easy for fans to see which scenes from her reality show inspired what you see in the game, sharing to Instagram:

The character’s design is fantastic, especially her outfits. There’s a sleek latex bodysuit that feels very current – something you could easily imagine SKIMS selling – and a more casual top and pants combination. Players can also customize her appearance by changing her hair color and adding accessories like sunglasses, a fur coat, and those signature swim gloves.

Kim Kardashian’s new emotes in Fortnite – Diamond Drop and Slurp the Internet – are truly memorable. Diamond Drop recreates the famous moment she lost a $75,000 earring in the ocean, complete with her distressed expression. It’s so iconic, you almost expect to hear her sister Kourtney yelling, “Kim, there’s people that are dying!” in the background.

The phrase “Slurp the Internet” came about because Kim Kardashian once balanced a drink on her bottom. When asked why she highlighted these specific instances, Kim Kardashian explained to Elle:

My famous PAPER Magazine photoshoot involved champagne on my rear, a moment often called ‘Break the Internet.’ For this game, we recreated the idea, but on the foot – it just looked better that way. Years ago, I also lost a diamond earring in the ocean while on vacation and faced a lot of criticism for it. We thought turning that mishap into a funny in-game emote would be perfect.

Kim Kardashian’s favorite weapon in Fortnite references a funny moment from a 2008 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. In that episode, she playfully hit her sister Khloé with her purse after an argument about a new car. While it wasn’t her most graceful moment, Kim now looks back on it with fondness, saying:

So, I actually use a purse as one of my…tools, if you will. It’s the same one I used in the incident with Khloé – the swing is exactly the same. It’s a pretty comical moment, and I think audiences will get a laugh out of it when they see it.

It’s great that Kim Kardashian didn’t take herself too seriously when designing her Fortnite skin. She’s joked that people constantly ask if she’s searching for her lost diamond earring in the ocean – something she says gets tiresome – so it’s fun that the game lets players reference that story.
