I remember when Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, hinted at a big future for Moon Knight in the MCU movies. It feels like ages ago – over five years, actually! After the well-received Moon Knight series on Disney+, fans, myself included, were really expecting to see the character pop up in the bigger films. Sadly, that hasn’t happened, and it’s been disappointing to see him completely absent from the cinematic side of things since then.
Back in 2019, before the Moon Knight series debuted on Disney+, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast. Shortly after Avengers: Endgame came out in theaters, he told listeners that several characters first appearing in Disney+ shows would eventually become significant players in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
Several characters—including Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, John Walker, Kate Bishop, and Monica Rambeau—first appeared in shows on Disney+. Kevin Feige specifically highlighted Moon Knight as one of those characters who will also appear in future Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
We’re introducing some characters – like She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight – through Disney+ shows before they appear in the movies. From now on, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will move more freely between both platforms.
Six years ago, Kevin Feige said Moon Knight would be in future Marvel movies. However, despite the character getting his own series on Disney+ three years ago, he hasn’t appeared in any films or other live-action projects, meaning Feige’s initial promise remains unfulfilled.
It’s also worth noting that She-Hulk hasn’t been featured in any Marvel films since her debut on Disney+, making her another character Marvel boss Kevin Feige hasn’t yet brought back as promised.
While Ms. Marvel appeared in the movie The Marvels, neither she nor She-Hulk were listed among the cast for Avengers: Doomsday. This means Ms. Marvel, introduced to the franchise through The Marvels, might not be in Marvel’s next big team-up film.
Will Moon Knight Be in Avengers: Doomsday?

Despite initial plans, Moon Knight hasn’t appeared in any Marvel Cinematic Universe films yet. However, the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday seems like the ideal place for him to make his debut. Doomsday is expected to be Marvel’s biggest film ever, potentially rivaling Avengers: Endgame in scale.
Despite the recent large announcement of the cast for the upcoming Doomsday film, Oscar Isaac, who plays Moon Knight, wasn’t included. There’s currently no word on whether he’ll be in the movie.
While it’s still a possibility he could appear in the movie, it would feel strange given the conclusion of Moon Knight. It would be unexpected for his character to suddenly be in an Avengers film without viewers understanding how he became involved with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
It’s very probable that Moon Knight will reappear in future Marvel projects. While a second season of his TV show seems less likely at the moment, Marvel is reportedly working on a Midnight Sons movie, and Moon Knight is expected to be included. If he appears in that film, it could lead to more movie appearances down the line.
