Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 4!
The final season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory returns to the dinosaur-filled world and the themes of corruption, ultimately giving a clear resolution to the story of the Nublar Six. It continues directly after the events of season 3.
Brooklynn, Ben, Darius, and Yaz are on a mission to shut down the illegal dinosaur breeding and trading operation at Biosyn Headquarters. At the same time, Kenji and Sammy are heading to Biosyn Valley to rescue Bumpy. Unfortunately, the group, along with all the dinosaurs, finds themselves trapped in the valley and must fight to escape with their lives.
This builds to a thrilling finale where Ben is in a desperate fight for survival, and the other members of the Nublar Six struggle to protect him until medical help arrives and they can escape the valley.
How Ben Survives In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 4
About halfway through season 4 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, Ben is seriously injured in a dinosaur attack. For the rest of the season, the show leads viewers to believe he’s going to die, but surprisingly, he makes it through to the end.
The story shows Ben surviving because the other members of his team, the Nublar Six, come together to help him. This highlights how Ben is the quiet, dependable force who always supports everyone else. They dedicate themselves to caring for his injury, even physically carrying him to reach the medical helicopter.
Seeing them all work together to save their friend was really inspiring, but honestly, Ben only survived because the story needed him to. Considering how badly he was hurt and the delay in getting help, he realistically should have died. While it felt a bit like an easy way to avoid a difficult outcome, I get why the writers chose to keep him alive – his death might have been too upsetting for younger audiences, and they clearly wanted a more positive ending.
How The Nublar Six Escape The Biosyn Valley
The Nublar Six struggled to escape the Biosyn Valley, but a lucky chain of events helped them succeed. First, Dr. Wu lent Ben, Brooklynn, Darius, and Yaz a car, allowing them to cross the valley safely. During their escape, they unexpectedly ran into Kenji and Sammy.
The team grabs the equipment and heads to the other outpost to destroy the program’s backup – that’s their main objective. The power fails, but they manage to restore it briefly to call for a medical helicopter. Luckily, the dinosaurs – the rexes – eliminate the raptors, rescuing the Nublar Six. They then use Gia’s car to reach the helicopter pickup point.
In the end, everything worked out, and they escaped the situation with only minor injuries – Ben was hurt, but otherwise they were alright. It takes a bit of accepting the unbelievable to fully enjoy it, but it’s a really fun ride.
Why Sammy Finally Forgives Brooklynn’s Betrayal
Brooklynn thinks Kenji will be the most difficult to apologize to and doesn’t expect him to quickly forgive her. Surprisingly, though, it’s Sammy who is actually the most upset with Brooklynn for hurting their friendship. This is probably because Sammy understands what it feels like to make difficult choices that involve letting friends down.
Sammy’s actions in Camp Cretaceous were motivated by a desire to protect her family, but they deeply upset Brooklynn. Interestingly, Brooklynn later made a similar choice, prioritizing the larger group’s well-being over loyalty to her friends. It’s likely Sammy would have felt just as betrayed if the roles were reversed.
Ben’s injury brings Sammy and Brooklynn together, forcing them to cooperate. While Sammy is understandably still upset and hurt by past events, the seriousness of the situation helps her find a way to forgive Brooklynn and start rebuilding their relationship.
Who’s Really Behind The Assassin Dinosaurs
The biggest surprise in season 4 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is the reveal of who originally created Project Therapod Axis – the program responsible for training the dinosaur assassins we’ve seen before. It wasn’t Soyona Santos, The Handler, or even Dr. Lewis Dodgson. Surprisingly, it was Dr. Wu, the original character from Jurassic Park, who brought the program to life.
While the other members of Project Therapod Axis had questionable motives, Dr. Wu initially had good intentions. He envisioned training dinosaurs to help with disaster relief, similar to how search-and-rescue dogs are used today.
Honestly, it really bothered me learning how Dr. Dodgson twisted the initial idea. What started as training these dinosaurs to simply help people morphed into something truly sinister. He began breeding them not for assistance, but to be weapons – trained to attack and kill whenever he gave the order. They weren’t helpers anymore; they were being created as perfect assassins, and it’s just chilling to think about.
Wu’s dedication to his work had unforeseen and tragic consequences, leading to many deaths. Throughout Jurassic World Dominion and season 4 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, he attempts to fix the problems he caused and restore balance to the world.
Why Sammy Isn’t Speaking To Her Family In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory
Throughout Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, Sammy Gutierrez is estranged from her family, causing her a lot of pain. The show keeps the reason for this distance a secret until the very end. We eventually learn that Sammy’s family chose to partner with Dr. Lewis Dodgson and Biosyn, even though she strongly advised against it.
Sammy’s family was determined to plant genetically modified crops, and they saw him as the one who could make it happen. Despite Sammy’s warnings about the dangers of Biosyn, they didn’t heed his concerns. Fortunately, the ending showed Sammy reconnecting with his family, and they were beginning to resolve their problems.
Why Brooklynn & Darius Don’t Get Together In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 4
Honestly, one of the biggest shocks for me at the end of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory was that they didn’t give us a clear answer about Brooklynn and Darius! Everyone’s been rooting for them since Camp Cretaceous, and their connection just felt even stronger in Chaos Theory. I was really hoping for some resolution, but it seems like they’re leaving us hanging to see what happens with those two!
Their relationship remains unclear, with no definitive explanation offered. Darius admits he loves her near the season’s end, but acknowledges his feelings aren’t as intense as those Yaz and Sammy share. Interestingly, he doesn’t feel that level of connection with anyone else, leaving viewers divided on how to interpret their bond.
People have different ideas about what Darius’s behavior means. Some believe it shows he doesn’t experience romantic attraction, while others think it simply indicates his love for Brooklyn isn’t as strong as it once was. After watching the scene several times, I’m still not sure which is correct. I’m happy to accept either explanation, but the scene could have been written in a way that made his feelings clearer.
Even if that scene’s purpose is unclear, I believe the show didn’t pair Brooklynn with Darius or Kenji because a romantic relationship would have overshadowed the main point of the finale: that friendship is what truly matters in life.
Ben owes his life to his friends. They relied on each other to escape the Biosyn Valley, and strong bonds are central to everything the Nublar Six experienced. It seems Yaz and Sammy were allowed to reconnect because of their history as a couple from the original series.
The True Meaning Of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’s Finale
The most straightforward way to understand the ending of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is that friendship is the most important thing. The story consistently emphasized this idea, and it’s likely the main lesson young viewers will remember.
A more thoughtful reading of the ending of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory suggests that cooperation is key to overcoming challenges.
Sammy makes a good point: we can’t control everything that goes wrong. Brooklynn wasn’t responsible for all the problems in season 4 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, and neither are we responsible for everything bad that happens in life. But, like the group known as the Nublar Six, we’re much more resilient and capable when we work together.
