The popular action star known for his role in John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to reprise his part for one last film, titled One Last Shot. The exciting action series is now also adding another well-known action movie star to the cast.
The 2021 action thriller One Shot, directed by James Nunn, stars Scott Adkins as Lt. Jake Harris, a highly skilled Navy SEAL. He’s tasked with rescuing a prisoner from a secret CIA location to stop a terrorist attack on Washington D.C. What makes One Shot unique is its clever editing, which creates the illusion of a single, unbroken shot – similar to the style of the film Birdman.
The 2024 sequel, One More Shot, continues the story from the first film. Like its predecessor, it’s filmed to appear as one continuous shot, staying true to the title. This time, Harris is assigned to transport a dangerous terrorist suspect for questioning before a bomb goes off somewhere in America. Though the One Shot movies have received mixed reactions, they’re worth watching for their unique filmmaking style and Scott Adkins’ impressive action sequences.
A ‘Rocky’ & ‘Expendables’ Alum Joins ‘One Last Shot’

Signature Entertainment
The third and final film in the series, One Last Shot, is now in production. According to Screen Daily, Scott Adkins will be joined by a star from 1980s action films – best known for Rocky IV – as they film the action thriller sequel in London.
James Nunn is back to direct the final film in the action trilogy, based on a script by Jamie Russell. Joining the cast is Dolph Lundgren, and details about the movie, One Last Shot, have just been released. The film continues directly after the events of One More Shot and, like the previous installments, will be filmed as one long, unbroken shot. A first look image and the official storyline are also available.
Navy SEAL Jake Harris has to prevent a group of mercenaries, headed by a former friend who’s turned against him, from shutting down America’s missile defense system.
Starring alongside Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren, One Last Shot features Steven Cree (known from Outlander) and Hannah Ware (Hitman: Agent 47). The film also reunites Scott Adkins with Kane Kosugi, his co-star from Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear, promising another action-packed showdown between the two martial arts experts.
Scott Adkins is still delivering the kind of straightforward action fans love, with recent films like Prisoner of War and Diablo gaining attention. He has several promising projects coming up, including the historical revenge story Bedlam and the Netflix thriller The Rip, which will also feature Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Dolph Lundgren remains a genre icon as well, appearing with Michael Jai White in Exit Protocol and then teaming up with Kevin Spacey in Holiguards Saga — The Portal of Force, Stephen Lang from Avatar in Hellfire, and providing voice work for the animated Mutant Year Zero adaptation.
