The internet started with many noble goals, but it’s largely become known for creating content people didn’t even know they wanted. Currently, everyone is talking about a popular show, and fans have been making their own versions of the final episode – edits designed to create the ending they feel the series deserved. Surprisingly, one of these fan-made videos included something completely unexpected.
Jim Carrey became famous for his energetic and expressive comedy in movies like The Mask and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, where he was known for his incredible facial expressions. Though he’s recently enjoyed a comeback playing Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog films, someone has imagined him taking on a very different role: battling Vecna in Netflix’s popular 80s-inspired horror series.
A YouTube video by Your_Kryptonite7 hilariously inserts Jim Carrey’s iconic characters into key scenes from Stranger Things. The video shows Carrey’s characters doing things like playing Eddie Munson’s guitar, distracting the Demobats with Ace Ventura’s unusual talents, becoming Will Byers, and even sharing a moment with Karen Wheeler. It’s a completely wild and fun mashup, and you can watch it below.
‘Stranger Things’ Real Ending Has Been Divisive Among Fans

Netflix
When the first part of the final season of Stranger Things premiered in November, it seemed the Duffer brothers might successfully satisfy most fans. The initial four episodes were well-received, but the episodes released on Christmas Day revealed some problems. Episode 7, in particular, received the lowest ratings of any episode in the series, leading some viewers to believe the ending wouldn’t live up to expectations.
After the last episode aired, fans who felt significant scenes were missing from the final season started a petition. It quickly gained nearly 400,000 signatures. This sparked a social media trend called #conformitygate, where many theorized the entire final season was a fabrication created by the villain, Vecna. Some even believed Netflix would release a true final episode on January 7th, offering the ending they felt the show deserved.
Despite the Duffer Brothers confirming no footage was removed from the final season and the official Stranger Things Instagram page stating all eight episodes are now released, some fans still believe a hidden episode exists.
