Right now, it’s unclear when DC Comics will release the rest of Batman: H2SH. However, writer Jeph Loeb did offer fans a small preview during San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
Batman Will Be Majorly Impacted By The Events Of H2SH Vol. 2
At the year’s biggest celebration of geek culture, legendary comic book writer Jeph Loeb and acclaimed artist Jim Lee discussed their famous teamwork on Batman: Hush. The story unfolded over twelve issues published between October 2002 and September 2003.
Naturally, questions about the latest developments and future direction of the story arose. Like any good comic book writer at a fan event, Loeb avoided revealing too much, but he did hint at what’s to come.
I can’t reveal any details about what happens later in the story, but I can say it will significantly change things for Batman.
The recent issue of Batman: H2SH, specifically Batman #163, featured a surprising turn of events, but even more shocking was the unexpected alliance formed. After being manipulated by Hush, the Bat-Family has lost trust in Batman. However, the real surprise came when Batman teamed up with his most dangerous enemies—The Joker, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, and the Penguin—who all share a common enemy in Hush.
Okay, so losing someone close is always rough, and it’s clear this is hitting Batman hard. But honestly? I’m way more worried about him teaming up with some of Gotham’s biggest villains. It’s a desperate move, and I think it could seriously damage what little reputation he has left. It feels like he’s risking everything, even his own moral code, and that’s really concerning.
Batman: H2SH Vol. 1 Is Coming To Trade
It’s unclear when the storylines from the first part of Batman: H2SH will wrap up. However, fans can soon get the first six issues collected in a single paperback book.
The first volume of Batman: H2SH will be available in trade paperback on Batman Day in September 2026. Jim Lee, also the President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics, announced this at a recent event.
Jeph Loeb also shared that while working on a comic book series known for its delays, DC Comics employees jokingly bet on whether he and Jim would ever finish it. This playful competition actually pushed them to complete the project successfully, making it a memorable achievement for everyone involved – both creatively and for the publisher.
Okay, so I just finished playing Batman: Hush, and it was seriously intense! It’s all about Batman trying to figure out who’s messing with Gotham, and it turns out this new villain has a really twisted connection to Bruce Wayne’s history. Then, I jumped into Batman: H2SH, which basically continues right from where Hush ended. Turns out, the main bad guy from the first game, Dr. Thomas Elliott, is back to cause more trouble!
